Long Cycling Tights and Bib Tights
Keep your favourite bib shorts when the weather turns
With FUSION's long cycling tights you can take the fit and the pad you know from your short bibs into the cold months. The long bib tights work as an outer layer that adds warmth and protection to suit the conditions.
That way you choose your short cycling shorts by fit and pad, and your long tights by the weather. See our cycling shorts and bib shorts if you need the inner layer.
Choose long cycling tights by the weather
Long Bib Tights – for transitional weather
Long Bib Tights are for the cool rides where you need extra warmth around the legs. The fabric at the front has a soft, brushed inner face, while elastic, moisture-wicking fabrics at the back and on the lower legs follow your movement through the pedal stroke.
The close fit is shaped to the riding position. The model is a versatile choice for spring and autumn and comes in both the women's and the men's range.
S3 Long Bib Tights – winter cycling tights with a membrane at the front
S3 Long Bib Tights are for winter rides where you need more warmth and weather protection. The front uses a three-layer construction with a membrane that protects against wind and light precipitation. The insulating fleece on the inside helps hold the warmth in.
Elastic fabrics leave room to move, and foot straps help keep the legs in place. You will find S3 Long Bib Tights in both the women's and the men's range.
Both models are made from Italian fabrics and sewn at FUSION's own facility in Lithuania.
Questions about long cycling tights and bib tights
What is the difference between bib tights and bib shorts?
Bib tights are long cycling tights with braces, while bib shorts are the short version with braces. Long cycling tights is a broader term that can also cover models without braces. FUSION's Long Bib Tights and S3 Long Bib Tights both have braces.
Do FUSION's long cycling tights have a pad?
No. Both Long Bib Tights and S3 Long Bib Tights come without a built-in pad and are designed to be worn over short cycling shorts with a pad. That lets you keep your preferred cycling shorts or bib shorts underneath and adapt the outer layer to the weather.
At which temperatures should I choose long cycling tights?
Choose Long Bib Tights for cool transitional weather and S3 Long Bib Tights when winter cold and wind call for extra protection. Your intensity and how easily you feel the cold also matter. On a steady ride you may need more insulation than during a hard session at the same temperature.
Are FUSION's winter cycling tights wind- and water-repellent?
S3 Long Bib Tights have a wind- and water-repellent membrane at the front that protects against wind and light precipitation. That extra protection is what you get by choosing S3 for winter use. Long Bib Tights are built primarily for extra warmth and moisture transport in transitional weather.
How should long bib tights fit over my cycling shorts?
The long bib tights should sit close and leave you room to move in the riding position. Try them together with the short cycling shorts you intend to wear underneath, and check that the braces and the fabric follow you as you lean forward.
Use the size guide on the individual product page. Contact us if you are in doubt about the size.
Should I choose long cycling tights or leg warmers?
Long cycling tights are a single outer layer, relevant when you want extra coverage for the whole ride. Leg warmers are a flexible supplement to short cycling shorts if you want to be able to take them off as the temperature rises.
FUSION TEMPO! Leg Warmer has a brushed fleece inner face and can be an alternative on cool rides with changing conditions.
