Carbonfact features Fusion Sportswear as one of the first apparel brands to publish LCA-based Digital Product Passports directly on its website, highlighting the company’s journey from product lifecycle assessments to live, consumer-facing product data.
The case focuses on why Fusion chose to begin developing Digital Product Passports before the final delegated act was in place, and how the company built the data foundation needed to move from individual product LCAs to operational DPPs available online.
According to Carbonfact, Fusion already uses the platform for product LCAs and company-wide carbon accounting. The Digital Product Passport builds on the same underlying dataset, allowing environmental product information to become part of the product experience rather than remaining an internal reporting exercise.
Carbonfact also highlights Fusion’s role in co-developing DPP functionality alongside its team. The collaboration provides an industry reference for how apparel brands can begin building the product-level data infrastructure required for greater transparency and future European product regulation.
